Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is your circulation in the Southwest Valley?
A: Look for us everywhere from fine dining to fast food. Most of our distribution locations are restaurants, delis, coffee shops, etc. -- Everywhere people grab a bite to eat or enjoy a cup of coffee. We also distribute to some other places where people are known to wait, such as car washes, oil changes and doctors offices. On the back of each issue, we list the locations where you get get the latest issue.
Q: Can I subscribe to Coffee News?
A: You cannot subscribe to Coffee News. It is a free publication distributed primarily at restaurants, or any other place where you might have some time to read while waiting. Check out our Editions page to find a location near you that provides Coffee News to its patrons.
Q: How often do you publish and where are you distributed?
A: New issues are distributed weekly to restaurants, delis, coffee shops, etc. Our purpose is to provide POSITIVE, ENJOYABLE reading to those relaxing over a cup of coffee or waiting for their meals -- seen by a high number of readers, three meals a day. With Coffee News, there is no BAD news, only trivia, fun facts, local events, and other fun things that draw attention -- like the chance to win $20 every other week.
Q: What's the "Find The Hidden Coffee Cup" contest all about?
A: Each week, we hide a very small "Coffee Cup" icon in one of the ads. We hold a drawing every 2 weeks and have a prize winner. This has proven to be a very popular contest around the world. This contest is great for our advertisers as well, as it encourages our readers to look through all of the ads in order to find the "Coffee Cup"! If you'd like to enter our contest click here.
Q: How long has Coffee News been in existence?
A: Coffee News was originally researched and founded by Jean Daum in Winnipeg, Canada in 1988. It has grown to over 1100 locations in 50 countries worldwide and is the Number #1 franchised restaurant publication in the world!
Q: Can restaurants advertise in Coffee News?
A: No. As a courtesy to all our restaurant and coffee shop distributors in the Southwest Valley, we offer the protection that no business in the restaurant industry will be allowed to advertise in Coffee News. That way no restaurants are competing with each other in the Coffee News.
Q: How much is an ad?
A: Ads in Coffee News are priced very competitively with other print media, so the small business person can easily afford to advertise on a consistent basis. For not much more than the price of a cup of coffee each day, you can advertise in Coffee News! So, unless another company in your category of business is already advertising in the edition, it is available for you to advertise your business. Remember, all ads in Coffee News are EXCLUSIVE -- we only allow one type of business per category, in each edition. Coffee News advertisers LOCK OUT their competition -- unlike any other print or online publication in town! Contact Kathy 623-640-8558 for the current rates, and to find out what discounts you may be eligible for.
Q: Why do you recommend that the ad run for at least 13 weeks?
A: A good ad is like a seed for a fruit tree. Repetition is its water. Weekly consistency is it's sunlight. The longer your seed is allowed to grow in the mind of the public, the greater and greater your harvests will be. What size harvests do you want to see? For more, read about "the benefits" of advertising in our Coffee News article, Repetition!
Q: How do I pay for the ad?
A: Payment can be made by Visa, Mastercard or American Express at the time your advertising order is placed.
Q: Do I need to design the ad?
A: NO... If you already have a camera-ready ad -- GREAT! If you don't, no worries! We'll work with you and our Graphic Designer on staff, to create an ad that showcases your business and your message creatively. And, unlike many publications, there are no additional fees for us to design your ad!
Q: Can I change an ad now and then?
A: Yes, you can. There is never a charge for minor ad changes, which may be e-mailed, faxed or phoned in.
